#4732- Trust & Estates Attorney 4th Year- Provide legal counsel to the Public Administrator of Kings County, including the administration and litigation of over 80 estates in Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court. Administer moderate to multi-million dollar estates to assure compliance with applicable tax laws and to identify post-mortem planning opportunities. Draft estate planning documents, including Wills, marital/QTIP trusts, disclaimer trusts, revocable trusts, supplemental needs trusts. Estate litigation, including objections, settlement agreements, motion writing, 1404 depositions. Prepare and file estate tax returns, draft receipt and releases, handle distribution of assets.  Salary: $100,000

 #4728- Trial Attorney- 19th Year- Responsible for all aspects of litigation from pleadings through trial to verdict and appeal for mid-sized law firm. Primary focus of litigation was for insurance carriers and self insured clients. Additionally responsible for miscellaneous other matters including commercial and residential real estate transactions, business closings and commercial transactions.  Manages caseload of approximately one hundred files.  Salary: $135,000

#4738- Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney- 3rd Year- Responsible for litigation of high-exposure medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, general liability and products liability cases.   Draft pleadings, motions and appear for oral arguments and court conferences.  Conduct depositions, witness interviews and obtain expert reviews for case assessments, settlement negotiations or preparation for trial.  Review and analyze medical and legal records and perform medical and legal research.  Communicate with insured clients and report directly to claims representatives in coordination of litigation strategy.  Salary: $90,000

#3599- Litigation Attorney- 11th Year- Managing litigation caseload in the areas of premises liability, construction liability, assault and automobile liability.  Responsible for case management from inception through trial. Extensive deposition and courtroom experience.  Salary: $89,000

#4642- Corporate Securities & Transactional Attorney- 3rd Year- Mergers & Acquisitions: Drafted and edited purchase agreement sections, transactional documents corporate resolutions and due diligence summaries. Responsible for managing disclosure schedules, closing checklists and closing rooms. Transactional experience includes leveraged buyouts, a reverse merger into a shell corporation with a concurrent PIPE, a hedge fund acquisition, a warrant transfer and a bankruptcy restructuring and workout.  Regulatory: 1933 Act, 1934 Act and 1940 Act related work included drafting, editing and related rule checks for S-1, S-3, 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, 13-D, 13-G, DEF 14A, Form 3 and Form 4 SEC filings as well as SEC correspondence letters. #980- Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney- 8th Year- Manage approximately fifty cases for firm specializing in general liability, premises liability, commercial litigation, and labor law litigation.  Major clients include Magna Carta Companies, United National Group, and Federated Insurance Company.  Handle all aspects of case management up to trial including initial evaluations, legal research, and motion practice.  Appear at court regularly to argue motions drafted by myself and other colleagues.  Conduct and defend depositions.  Salary: $90,000

#4678- Tax Attorney- 6th Year - Analyze tax law of countries in which the Fund invests to determine most tax efficient means of holding, structuring and trading investments; including securities, bank debt and real estate.  Prepare complete Fin 48 analysis of onshore and offshore funds, including analysis of dividend withholding, tax exposure on realized and unrealized gains, compliance with Portfolio Interest Exemption, and other safe harbor compliance. Calculate NYC UBT payments.  Calculate UBTI exposure. Track pending and new tax legislation.  Prepare partner estimated tax payments.  Prepare tax work papers for London Management Company.  Review federal, state and local tax returns and research return positions.  Communicate with the IRS in order to resolve various tax issues and IRS tax notices.  Salary: $100,000

#4674- Litigation Attorney- 6th Year- Independent and team case management from inception through judgment and appeal of general commercial litigation matters including business tort and fraud, E&O and D&O litigation, breach of contract and coverage/reinsurance litigation. Manage firm's relationships with, and act as primary point of contact for, clients. Responsible for all aspects of case management: investigate claims, interview witnesses, prepare clients for deposition, take and defend depositions, prepare partners for depositions and argument, manage electronic and traditional discovery projects, appear at argument, conferences, and mediations. Supervise junior associates and staff. Work with Senator Ohrenstein to counsel businesses and principals on compliance, lobbying, corporate, transactional matters, and white-collar criminal matters. Salary: $102,000

#4703- Real Estate Paralegal- 15th Year- Handled commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters from default notices to evictions and judgments.  Responsible for commercial and residential real estate files from contract to closing, including, but not limited to; clearing title, handling payoffs and/or assignments, initiating and completing 1031 exchanges. Reviewed titles and scheduled closings for credit unions and banks.  Handled litigation files in connection with commercial litigation and representation of credit unions.  Salary: $52,000

#4652- Legal Secretary- 13th Year- Prepare, update and revise documents. Schedule meetings and keep attorneys’ calendars.  Keep track of all billable time. Assist with all administrative responsibilities including scheduling meetings and conference calls with clients. Prepare and send engagement letters. Open new client/matter accounts. Maintain important files. Prepare expense reports and keep track of partner T&E accounts.  Salary: $55,000
